| Abstract: Reducing and then keeping administrative costs down is a challenge for most if not all organizations. One common source of high administrative costs is username and password administration. Forgotten passwords and locked usernames not only result in lost productivity, but also a high volume of calls to the help desk. One strategy for reducing username and password administrative costs is single sign-on (SSO). Reducing the number of passwords a user must remember without sacrificing security, is one way that single sign-on can reduce administrative costs. This paper explores the potential for expanding single sign-on to include multiple SAP NetWeaver ABAP environments running on the IBM i5/OS operating system. |
