Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to assist those who are looking to implement Oracle’s Real Application Clusters (RAC) on Red Hat Enterprise Linux® 5 (RHEL5) running on IBM BladeCenter® servers and IBM System Storage™ products . The information provided herein is based on experiences with test environments at the IBM Oracle International Competency Center, and is based on available documentation from IBM, Oracle, and Red Hat. This paper does not cover the setting up of the shared disk for RAC.
