Abstract: The following article provides an understanding of the relationship between inbound requests to a WAS z/OS server and the number of configured threads for the server.

It's important to realize the model is quite different from WAS on distributed.

Performance tuning may considered a balancing act between many competing factors. This article provides a description of the relationship between requests, threads, processors, and the behavior of the application itself.
