Abstract: Encryption can protect your data. But DASD encryption can not be enough if someone can connect to your DASD from different LPAR, but in the same Z system. In this situation, data set encryption can really protect your data. In this presentation, you will see screen captures from two different z/OS systems. At the end, from the second system, it will be impossible to read data encrypted by data set encryption, even if this second system has access to the DASD.
