|Abstract: This session starts with a brief overview of Oracle 12c Database In-Memory, and then we'll share our experiences testing this feature with simple and complex queries, multiple schemas, and large memory. We have run time comparisons to share for a set of reporting queries run In-Memory compared to disk row format, as well as hints and tips for getting the best results with In-Memory. We will also show data points for loading data into memory including the use of compression, benefits seen using Vector Transformation execution plans, and even a comparison between In-Memory and using database buffer keep cache (In-Memory is an order of magnitude better while using less memory). This presentation can be shared with IBM customers.|
