FlashSystem; FlashSystem 900
|Abstract: The FlashSystem historical stats tool-set is a collection of command-line utilities for extracting historical performance data from an IBM FlashSystem.|
|Note: This tool is designed to work with the "tier 0" IBM FlashSystem products, such as the IBM FlashSystem 900. It does not work with the "v" series, such as the IBM FlashSystem V9000. v2.2.0 and later of the historical stats tool-set supports all levels of firmware for supported IBM FlashSystems, including SP3 (v1.1.3) and later.|
The FlashSystem historical stats tool-set is a collection of command-line utilities for extracting historical performance data from an IBM FlashSystem. This tool-set includes, in addition to various other supporting utilities, 1) the retrieval tool (stats_retrieve) which will pull raw archived data from a live IBM FlashSystem, alleviating the need to capture a support snap, and 2) the extraction tool (stats_extract) which will parse the raw archived statistical data retrieved from a system and output it to a CSV file. The extraction tool will operate on either data obtained with the retrieve tool, or standard support snaps.
Multiple packages are provided, including the Python source code package and pre-built binary packages for various operating systems. Operating systems not supported with a pre-built binary package will require the Python source package and a suitable Python installation with requisite auxiliary packages. Consult the README file (also located in the packages) for further information. Files may be downloaded from the following link:
