Abstract: zSeries zIIP sizing is a pre-sales effort to help you estimate the level of zIIP offload in your clients workloads. Currently, we are able to project the percentage of a DB2 DRDA workload that could be offloaded to zSeries zIIP processors, overall zIIP processor utilization, any corresponding decrease in general purpose processors and any related decrease in the metrics used to establish variable workload pricing (VWLC) for IBM Software.

The attached Data Collection document will guide the customer through the required data collection and submission process necessary for Techline to perform a zIIP Sizing study.
