Abstract: The attached data collection guide is written for a z/OS, OS/390 or MVS operating environment. It describes what it takes to do a FICON Channel Aggregation Analysis for your customers. This data collection guide will help your customer collect the required SMF records and the IOCP file(s) for a FICON or ESCON Channel analysis.
To engage Techline for a FICON Aggregation Analysis, please forward this data collection guide to your customer and ask them to fill out the requested information, submit the appropriate SMF records to our FTP site, and send a softcopy of the data collection guide as well as the IOCP file(s) via email to your local Techline.
If you have a special circumstance or in need of assistance, please contact your local Techline and explain your situation. A Techline specialist will be assigned to handle your request promptly. Contact information for Global Techline teams can be found at http://w3-03.ibm.com/support/techline/index.html (Select a local Techline team from the left navigation bar).
Upon receiving the data provided by your client, a Techline specialist will use the zCP3000 tool to analyze the data and develop a client deliverable showing the results of our analysis. We are available to present to your client directly either face-to-face or over the phone. |
