Note: If your currently installed zPCR version is older than C9.0, it MUST be uninstalled prior to installing zPCR C9.2a (package includes Java). This is necessary to facilitate conversion to the new IBM Java v8 64-bit runtime environment that is required for zPCR.

Use of Capacity Estimates from zPCR
Registration is required to use zPCR. The primary purpose for registration is to have an email contact in case important information must be distributed concerning the use of zPCR. A simple form is presented at zPCR initiation, requesting the necessary information.
If internet attached, and your installation does not block IP address and/or port used, your information is transmitted and a response should be immediate. If unable to internet connect, an email option to complete registration is provided.
zPCR can be used up to 3 times without completing the registration process.
Subsequent registration for zPCR will only be required on a version change, which is expected to happen very infrequently. New releases or modification levels of zPCR will be made available on a regular basis but these updates will not require the user to register again.

The IBM zEnterprise EC12 (zEC12) has 5 models. The models support different numbers of processor units (PU) which are configurable as General Purpose CPs, zAAPs, zIIPs, IFLs, ICF's, or optional SAPs.
zEC12 Models H20 - Supports 1 to 20 Configurable PUs
H43 - Supports 1 to 43 Configurable PUs
H66 - Supports 1 to 66 Configurable PUs
H89 - Supports 1 to 89 Configurable PUs
HA1 - Supports 1 to 101 Configurable PUs
In addition, for General Purpose CPs, there are 4 engine speeds, listed below in increasing speed sequence. All zAAPs, zIIPs, IFLs, and ICFs are full speed CPs.
