Abstract: The following is the flash announcement of HACMP v5.4.1 for Linux. Also, I have attached a copy of the release_notes below.


HACMP for Linux V5.4.1 Update is Now Available

January 25, 2008

The IBM High Availability Cluster Multi-Processing (HACMP) for Linux (5765-G71) licensed product has been updated and is now available as Version 5.4.1.

HACMP for Linux V5.4.1 can be obtained from the cluster support web site at:

http://www14.software.ibm.com/webapp/set2/sas/f/hacmp/home.html

Please refer to the following table for solution offering details and refer to the following information on what's new and restrictions. It is recommended to obtain the latest service update for this support.

What is new:
  • Usability improvements for the WebSMIT Graphical User Interface.
  • Improvements to First Failure Data Capture and additional standardized logging increase the reliability and serviceability of HACMP V5.4.1.
  • Serviceability improvements for HACMP include the addition of new log files and increased granularity in existing logs. The default locations of all managed log files have been moved to a subdirectory of /var/hacmp.

Restrictions:
  • A problem has been observed while exchanging data over an rs232 connection on RHEL4.4 and later levels. This has been reported in bugzilla defect # 142822.
