Abstract: This document provides the software details required to cover Oracle 10g RAC support of HACMP 5.3. Technical details are provided via Oracle's metalink.

IBM HACMP V5.3 is now certified by Oracle September 19, 2007 The IBM* and Oracle team have implemented a joint solution offering which provides a certified solution of the IBM High Availability Cluster Multiprocessing (HACMP*) for AIX*, Version 5.3 software product on Oracle RAC 10gR2. Please refer to the following table for solution offering details. It is recommended to obtain the latest service updates for this support. Note: TL = Technology Level Certified Solution Application Stack IBM AIX TL 5300-06 HACMP V5.3 SP 5 (#IY94307) HACMP V5.3 #IZ01809+ RSCT V2.4.7.3 (#IZ00912) RSCT V2.4.7 #IZ01838 Oracle Oracle RAC 10gR2 10.2.0.3 Oracle RAC 10gR2 patch: 5497221 + This APAR is not yet generally available. Please contact IBM Support to obtain Interim Fix (IFix) packages for it. Notes: Oracle RAC 10gR1 will be not be certified with HACMP V5.3 or above. Oracle Metalink note number 404474.1, found at : https://metalink.oracle.com/ , is updated with configuration specifics for the above solution offering. IBM Support should be contacted for AIX 5L V5.3, HACMP V5.3, or RSCT V2.4.7 support. Oracle Support should be contacted for Oracle RAC 10gR2 support.
