============================= SYSGROUPNEWS ============================= HACMP supports IBM TotalStorage SVC Storage Software V2.1 along with Metro Mirror function April 15, 2005 Last Updated July 15, 2005 IBM* High Availability Cluster MultiProcessing (HACMP*) for AIX 5L*, Version 5.2, (5765-F62) expands support to the IBM TotalStorage* SAN Volume Controller (SVC) Storage Software V2.1. This SVC software enhancement supports more diverse storage environments, including the Copy Services function. HACMP also supports IBM TotalStorage Metro Mirror (known as Synchronous PPRC) for SAN Volume Controller V2.1 and V1.2 which can improve disaster recovery and business continuance capabilities by applying and managing copy services across disparate disk storage devices within the SAN. Please refer to the following table for details. Resource Groups to be managed by HACMP cannot contain volume groups with both Metro Mirror-protected and non-Metro Mirror-protected disks. HACMP functions for resource group movement due to Selective Failover by the user is not yet supported across sites. HACMP does not support Global Mirror functions of SVC Copy Services.
