Abstract: The Oracle BI Sizer is a pre-sales technical support reference tool that will allow you to develop planning estimates in order to build a Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence infrastructure with Oracle running on IBM System p, system x and IBM TotalStorage based on your customers workloads requirements.

Based on a history of deploying successful Business Intelligence systems, IBM Corporation and Oracle Corporation have developed a set of base planning sizing estimates leveraging a balanced solutions design. This balanced design incorporates a stack of optimized technologies including Operating system, ISV software, servers and storage. These solutions (stacks) have predictable and low-risk results for early planning estimates based on customer workload requirements. Please note that this Quick Sizer is for early estimates and should be used only as a reference. It is highly recommended that all engagements that begin using this tool should be followed up by a detailed sizing and configuration exercise, performed by one of the Techline organizations ( http://www.ibm.com/erp/sizing ).
