Abstract: Orchestrators play a critical role in Continuous Integration pipelines, managing the various tasks that must be performed to build applications. Many CI orchestrators rely on the master/agent architecture, where a server distributes work to the target agents running on build environments. For CI builds of mainframe applications, the agent generally needs to be installed on z/OS. This paper provides guidance how to setup a CI pipeline agent on IBM z/OS as a Started Task.
