In my teaching and consulting with mainframe clients, two things are clear:
- most clients want to increase their use of zSeries because it provides a scaleable, secure, highly manageable server for e-commerce.
- an extremely small number of ISVs are frustrating our clients' attempts to grow their mainframe platform.
As a result of client feedback, IBM is pleased to introduce an internet mailing list where you can openly discuss your mainframe ISV issues with other zSeries/S390 shops. It is our hope that through communication comes knowledge and with knowledge comes improved negotiating leverage.
An internet mailing list takes mail sent to it by a subscriber and automatically forwards it to all the other subscribers.
