John Anderson - Bio & Selected Presentations

Anderson photo John Anderson currently runs sales training classes for IBM mainframe software salespeople around the world.  Prior to that he was responsible for mainframe Software Asset Management (SAM) programs at IBM. Working with IBM's mainframe (System z, zSeries, S/390) clients, he helped them improve their SAM processes and skills, resulting in a lower total cost of ownership.

John's previous positions at IBM include marketing, hardware sales, software product development and technical sales support, in both the USA and Canada. He developed and taught the "Managing Mainframe Software Costs" class to over 500 clients. John has been the keynote speaker in the Software Asset Management track at SHARE, and has spoken at industry conferences in North America, Europe, UK and Australia. He is a frequent speaker at IBM mainframe briefings for clients and internal training classes. John consults to clients throughout the world on software asset management issues.

John holds a B.A.Sc degree in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo and is a licensed Professional Engineer. He reports to Ray Jones, Vice-president, Worldwide System z Software Sales.
