WebSphere® Partner Gateway enables trading partner business-to-business (B2B) integration.

It provides centralized and consolidated B2B trading partner and transaction management to enable and manage process and data integration with trading partners.

• Standards-based transport protocols such as EDIINT AS1, AS2 or AS3, RosettaNet RNIF 1.1 and 2.0, cXML, CIDX Chem eStandards 4.0, ebXML Messaging Service (ebMS) 2.0 to support the connectivity needs of various trading partners, and FIPS 140-2 enablement to be compliant with FIPS standard.
• Native EDI translator with EDI standards support (such as ANSI X12, UN/EDIFACT, Odette, UCS and VICS, EANCOM97, and related industry implementations).
• Supports transformation using WebSphere Transformation Extender (WTX), which provides integrated view of document and functional acknowledgement processing.
• Trading partner self-management and administration allows trading partners to log-on to the WebSphere Partner Gateway Community Console, set up groups for their own user communities, manage integrated FTP server, view business documents, and manage alerts and notifications associated with the handling of their business documents.
• Component architecture with multiple deployment options where multiple instances of specific components (Receivers and Document Managers) may be installed on multiple machines, but they share a single Community Console to support desired throughput and scalability.
• Support for extensibility through the WebSphere Partner Gateway User Exit Framework, which provides support for integrating external functions and capabilities.
• Use of WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment (WAS ND) 6.1 to provide enhanced manageability and deployability. In addition, it provides an option to integrate with other WebSphere SOA and BPM-related business integration products such as WebSphere Transformation Extender (WTX), WebSphere Data Interchange (WDI), WebSphere Process Server (WPS), WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus (WESB), WebSphere Message Broker (WMB), WebSphere Business Monitor, and IBM Tivoli Monitor (ITM).

• Tighter integration with WebSphere Transformation Extender using WebSphere Partner Gateway's extensibility framework. WebSphere Partner Gateway now allows direct integration of WebSphere Transformation Extender with its runtime using the extensibility framework. You can callout from WebSphere Partner Gateway to WebSphere Transformation Extender for the transformation. The administration console provides a single view of the document while it flows through WebSphere Partner Gateway and WebSphere Transformation Extender.

• Ability to receive and send documents over Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP).

• Console based archiver and scheduler, which now has simpler configuration with considerable improvement in the archiver performance. You can schedule the archiver task to run on daily, weekly, or custom basis, and also view the archiver reports. The console provides an option to restore and search for the required archiver configuration.

• Ability to auto-upgrade WebSphere Partner Gateway from V6.x to V6.2. This allows easy database and hub migration. The tool minimizes the manual upgrade effort and allows hub restoration for all topologies.

• An editor for ebXML Message Service (ebMS) to create CPA / CPP for use with ebXML.

• Certificate upload and configuration enhancements, where WebSphere Partner Gateway has added decryption and digital signature verification values to certificate types for internal partner and hub operator users.

• WebSphere Partner Gateway First Steps page enhancements provide various options during installation of WebSphere Partner Gateway. First Steps application is installed internally with other WebSphere Partner Gateway components.

• Scripts to automatically update the changes to host name, IP address, ports, or database connection information after WebSphere Partner Gateway is installed.

• Ability to export and import entire configuration information used by WebSphere Partner Gateway. The manual process of migrating the configuration information between QA and Production systems is simplified significantly.
