ODM Studio provides the interface for business users. It enables business users to view, solve, share, and interact with distributed ODM Enterprise optimization applications. It allows users to create scenarios and work interactively with them. It provides a rich set of functions that decision makers often need in a planning application.

The ODM Studio is available either as ODM Enterprise Client for enterprise deployments or as ODM Enterprise Planner for workstation deployments.
ODM Enterprise Optimization Server is a centralized, server-based implementation of the IBM ILOG CPLEX Optimizer and CP Optimizer solving engines. It solves optimization models and runs algorithms to support decisions by planners by using the ODM Enterprise Client in an enterprise configuration. Multiple users can share scenarios and solve them remotely.
ODM Optimization Engine is a local desktop implementation of the IBM ILOG CPLEX Optimizer and CP Optimizer solving engines, for planners using the ODM Enterprise Planner Edition in a stand-alone individual workstation configuration.
ODM Enterprise Data Server provides centralized, server-based services that facilitate data management for ODM Enterprise applications.
- Provides a hub between the ODM Enterprise Client and the Scenario Repository database.
- Connects the ODM Enterprise Optimization Server to the Data Server in an enterprise configuration
- Used to share the Scenario Repository database in enterprise deployments with the ODM Enterprise Client Edition.

ODM Enterprise Developer provides a complete application development environment for both optimization experts and software developers. It combines the best functionality of CPLEX Optimization Studio and ODM Enterprise based on the Eclipse framework.
- Embeds CPLEX Optimization Studio, including its IDE, OPL language, CPLEX Optimizer, and CP Optimizer
- Data modeling for specifying the application data model, creating the OPL data structures, and creating and maintaining the domain object model, a Java representation for creating custom views and tasks.
- Java customization for creating custom GUIs, data import and export, and extending other functions
- IBM ILOG JViews Enterprise (for custom visualization), bundled with ODM Enterprise
ILOG ODM Enterprise includes Microsoft Office connections enabling users to conduct further analysis and develop reports and presentations through flexible connections to Microsoft® Office, allowing formatted cut-and-paste editing from/to the different tools of Office. Using Excel can simplify reporting or advanced data manipulation using user-defined formulas.
ODM Enterprise is open to customization. When configuring standard components is not enough, it includes documented Java API to enable customization of its functionality. For example, the software developer can include a specific Java-based custom view with maps and diagrams, using the embedded IBM ILOG JViews Enterprise Developer. Other examples are custom data connector or custom data interaction. ODM Enterprise can automatically generate and maintain a Domain Object Model, a set of Java classes that mirrors the application data model, enabling straightforward access to the data for creating custom views and processing tasks.
