IBM® InfoSphere® Classic Replication Server provides System z data sourcing for IBM's InfoSphere Replication Server.
It empowers the delivery of critical mainframe data to local and remote relational replicas as needed.
- Supports both SQL-driven access and near-real time changed-data feeds to InfoSphere Replication Server over WebSphere MQ from VSAM, IMS, Computer Associates CA-IDMS, and Software AG Adabas data sources.
- Specifically formats data for consumption by InfoSphere Replication Server's queue-replication capabilities enabling targeting of DB2, Oracle, Informix, SQL Server, and Sybase.
- Together with the InfoSphere Change Data Capture family, IBM provides the largest breadth of database and operating system support for data replication.
- Replicate data to DB2 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows or Oracle, Sybase, and Microsoft SQL Server by combining with InfoSphere Replication Server for z/OS

System requirements
IBM® InfoSphere™ Classic Replication Server for z/OS V9.5 provides System z data sourcing for IBM's queue-based replication solution, InfoSphere Replication Server for z/OS, as well as limited native z/OS data replication capabilities. There are four product features each of which supports data sourcing for one of these: IMS, Computer Associates CA-IDMS, Software AG Adabas, and VSAM files. Captured data is formatted and placed on a WebSphere MQ queue to be consumed by InfoSphere Replication Server for z/OS and InfoSphere Replication Server for Linux, UNIX, and Windows, thus enabling data changes from these System z data sources to be replicated to DB2 for z/OS, Linux, UNIX, and Windows, Oracle, Sybase, and Microsoft SQL Server. InfoSphere Classic Replication Server for z/OS V9.5 is shipped with JDBC and CLI client software, DataStage Integration Clients, and with the Classic Data Architect, an interactive metadata management tool.
