Cúram Business Intelligence and Analytics is a decision support solution that helps social program organizations analyze the effectiveness of their programs and gain insight into the efficiency of their operations. It is configurable to meet each organization’s specific needs and scalable from the program to enterprise level. It consists of embedded analytics, domain specific dashboards, a complete Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) framework and tool-independent, pre-defined, domain-specific data marts. Cúram Business Intelligence and Analytics delivers contextually relevant, embedded reports, prepackaged domain specific reports and a reporting architecture for the production of standard and ad-hoc reports, trend analysis, and tracking of key performance indicators.

Cúram Business Intelligence and Analytics features:

Embedded analytics based on open source, Eclipse Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools (BIRT).
Domain-specific business intelligence, analytics and content, including dashboards, key performance indicators and personalized reports that can be enhanced with BIRT Exchange Actuate.

Embedded analytics

Embedded business intelligence content is displayed as part of a standard solution page.
Navigation capability is provided from the embedded business intelligence content to underlying content to enable better understanding of the origin of the data.
Data for all the embedded business intelligence content is provided from an online transaction processing (OLTP) database.
Eclipse BIRT designer is provided as part of the IBM Cúram Social Program Management Platform to enable agencies to edit or add new business intelligence content.

Outlines how to extend and maintain the Cúram Business Intelligence and Analytics solution to meet the changing needs of the organization.
Features a design process that starts with an existing report, a sample report or stated requirements and works backwards by identifying and creating a new data model or adding to the existing Cúram data model.
Uses ETL processes to specify movement of data through the system from OLTP to central data warehouse to be used in the production of reports.
Uses the tools in the implementation process to create the physical tables and provides the definition of how the data is moved and transformed at each step.
