Create voice applications without understanding voice technology
IBM® WebSphere® Voice Toolkit is an enhanced collection of technologies for creating sophisticated voice applications. It is powered by Eclipse technology and helps you develop VoiceXML applications without understanding the internal workings of voice technology. It provides the tools to build, debug and deploy voice applications across the IBM WebSphere Voice family.
WebSphere Voice Toolkit:
- Delivers a full-featured voice development environment, including graphical call flow building.
- Provides a Call Control Extensible Markup Language (CCXML) editor that extends the base XML editor to provide a development tool for CCXML markup.
- Supports for WebSphere Voice Server Media Resource Control Protocol (MRCP) to extend WebSphere Voice Toolkit’s range of tools and utilities.
Delivers a full-featured voice development environment
- Creates applications for the VoiceXML application programming model and voice technologies.
- Offers a Communication Flow Builder—a graphical tool for visual composition of a voice application.
- Provides a way to design and prototype a voice application by someone who is not familiar with VoiceXML programming.
- Enables you to construct an entire application visually.
- Delivers the ability to test the flow, create grammars and prompts and produce reports and metrics based on analysis of the call flow.
Provides a Call Control Extensible Markup Language (CCXML) editor
- Offers a set of functions similar to the VoiceXML editor, but is based on the proposed CCXML standards.
- Includes a transcription tool allows editing of transcription information for audio files from the Voice Trace Analyzer or Batch Grammar Test tool for further statistical analysis of the accuracy.
- Provides a Grammar Weighting Tool enables you to weight grammar files based on user-collected data.
- Adds the ability to specify an XML Document Type Definition (DTD) file to validate and provide Content Assist based on the actual DTD that will be used by the deployed application.
Supports for WebSphere Voice Server Media Resource Control Protocol (MRCP)
- Provides a development tool for lexicon markup based on the proposed lexicon standards
- Offers conversion utilities that can be used to take the existing WebSphere Voice Toolkit pronunciation files and convert them to the new lexicon format.
- Delivers automated migration functions for pooling files and exception dictionaries, automating the transition of pronunciations to the MRCP environment.
- Allows a grammar to be tested using the MRCP server protocol provided by WebSphere Voice Server, including the capability for bulk audio file testing
- Provides additional functionality for the processing of large grammar datasets and comparison of previous results.
