Improved usability, new data sources and greater extensibility

IBM Rational Engineering Lifecycle Manager v4.0.3, released in June 2013, builds on the first release (1.0 in Fall 2012) by enhancing usability based on feedback from early adopters, enabling use with additional IBM and third party tools, and making it easier for other tool vendors and IBM clients to build additional adapters.

Usability improvements include:

New and updated data sources:

In addition to these new data sources, it is now easier for other tool vendors and IBM clients to build adapters to enable Rational Engineering Lifecycle Manager access to data in 3rd party and in-house developed tools. The specification for building the index used by Rational Engineering Lifecycle Manager is now available through OSLC (Open Services for Lifecycle Collaboration) and a SDK (software development kit) for building an adapter is now available through the Eclipse Lyo project.
