Features

Flexible

IBM Managed and Self-Managed solutions are designed to be customizable based on capacity, durability and resiliency requirements. Take advantage of flexible services, including a choice of data centers for deployment. Meet a range of storage needs that include data storage for cloud-based native-active applications such as Internet of Things and mobile, or less-frequently accessed unstructured data such as archiving, backup, and content repositories and compliance data.

Scalable

Start at a minimum initial capacity of 1 PB and scale up to virtually unlimited capacity as your needs increase. Scale your capacity usage up or down at any time and pay for only what you use.

Resilient

Avoid downtime due to component failures or during hardware or software maintenance. Design options include cross-regional deployments designed to maintain availability during large-scale power outages and link or site failures.

Secure

Protect data at rest using automatic provider-side AES-256 encryption and SHA-256 hash. Secure data in motion using built-in, carrier-grade TLS/SSL or SNMPv3 with AES encryption. Also generate and manage credentials for each user access, and use digital certificates to protect all network connections against rogue attacks.
