IBM® Notes® and Domino® support a range of deployment scenarios. If you prefer client and server licensing, you can purchase IBM Domino server licenses and client access licenses separately. The table below compares the client access licensing options.

IBM Domino Enterprise Client Access License

Server access license provides access to the full range of client software (including desktop, web and mobile clients) used to access IBM Domino messaging and collaboration functions.
Functions include teamrooms and the capability to use IBM Domino applications.
IBM Domino applications can be developed in house using IBM Domino Designer software or acquired from independent software vendors.
This license includes a user license to IBM Notes, IBM iNotes, IBM Notes Traveler, and IBM Domino Designer.
This license provides entitlement to the following software for one user: IBM Sametime Entry, IBM Connections Files and Profiles features, IBM Lotus Symphony, and IBM Mobile Connect clients.

IBM Domino Messaging Client Access License

Server access license provides access to the full range of client software (including desktop, web and mobile clients) used to access IBM Domino messaging functions.
This license includes a user license to IBM Notes, IBM iNotes, and IBM Notes Traveler.
IBM Notes for this license is client software limited to messaging, calendar and scheduling, personal information management (local address book and personal journal), blogging, discussion databases and reference databases.
IBM iNotes for this license is a web client that includes many of the capabilities of IBM iNotes under the Enterprise Client access license. Authenticated access to custom IBM Domino applications is not included. Web browser users can use applications hosted on an IBM Domino Enterprise Server that allows anonymous access (no sign-on required).
This license provides entitlement to the following software for one user: IBM Sametime Entry, IBM Connections Files and Profiles features, and IBM Lotus Symphony.
