Rapid data transformations for cloud and mobile applications
IBM® WebSphere® DataPower® Integration Appliance XI52 is a non-disruptive network device that provides common message transformation, integration and routing functions on a single platform. It is a purpose-built hardware device that is easier-to-deploy, highly scalable and helps reduce IT complexity, lower operational costs and improve performance.
WebSphere DataPower Integration Appliance XI52:
- Enables new and reused services with a security and integration gateway appliance, built for simplified deployment and increased security, bridging multiple protocols and performing conversions at wire speed.
- Helps simplify connectivity using features such as any-to-any transformation and content-based routing.
- Supports compliance and data governance through policy enforcement and audit trails.
- Provides advanced security to help support security-rich enablement of critical applications.
Enables new and reused services
- Provides XML acceleration, streamlining and securing of service-oriented architecture (SOA) applications, including open standard for authorization (OAuth).
- Helps protect and enable mainframe systems for XML, connecting them to enterprise SOA and web services.
- Uses a declarative, metadata-based approach that enables data-oriented programming (DOP) paradigms to be employed, while reducing bottlenecks.
Helps simplify connectivity
- Enables any-to-any data transformation, including wire speed XML, text, binary, COBOL copybooks, industry standards and custom formats.
- Provides protocol mediation, protocol bridging, transport mediation, multistage pipeline processing and content-based message routing.
- Helps optimize bridging between wire line messaging protocols, including IBM WebSphere MQ, Java Message Service (JMS), file transfer protocol (FTP) and HTTP.
- Supports a range of standards and applications including direct-to-database connection access for IBM DB2®, Oracle, Sybase, data validation, field-level security, web services management and access control.
- Is available as a virtual edition to run in VMware hypervisor environments, powered by a purpose-built platform and designed to provide industry-leading workload functionality similar to the corresponding physical appliance.
Supports compliance and data governance
- Provides centralized service governance and service-level agreement (SLA) management through integration with IBM WebSphere Service Registry and Repository and IBM Tivoli® Composite Application Manager for SOA.
- Dynamically allocates access to services based on business priorities.
- Offers logging support, including Internet Small Computer System Interface (iSCSI) for connectivity to remote storage for off-device logging.
- Includes non-repudiation support.
- Provides a Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) 140-2 Level 3 certified hardware security module (HSM) as an embedded, factory-installed option. The HSM provides tamper-proof storage of private key material used for cryptographic operations performed on the appliance.
Provides advanced security
- Includes mature message-level security and access control functionality.
- Can parse, filter, transform, route and enforce access-controlled messages in different formats.
- Provides encryption and decryption, as well as digital signature signing and verification capabilities.
- Supports technologies such as Web Services Security (WS-Security), WS-Policy, WS-Trust, Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP).
