IBM® WebSphere® DataPower® B2B Appliance XB62 provides business-to-business (B2B) connectivity for applications, including cloud and mobile. The DMZ-grade security gateway consolidates B2B trading partner connectivity and transaction management. It helps you extend your B2B implementations and reduce heterogeneous integration challenges.

  • Bridges B2B messaging protocols to standard application layer protocols such as HTTP, File Transfer Protocol (FTP), Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) and Network File System (NFS).
  • Provides integrated message-level security, and includes native support for open standard for authorization (OAuth).

Support for web, cloud and mobile applications

  • Helps you optimize, secure and manage the externalizing of cloud and mobile service at the edge of your network.
  • Supports Web 2.0, including JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) filtering and validation, Representational State Transfer (REST) verbs and bridging of REST and web services.
  • Supports a range of Electronic Data Interchange-Internet Integration (EDIINT) protocols, and can connect to legacy data as well as handle non-XML formats.
  • Supports B2B patterns for Applicability Statement 1 (AS1), AS2, AS3, plain text email and web services.
  • Supports Drummond ebMS certification to help maximize interoperability of B2B data.

SLA management and service governance

  • Offers centralized management by enhancing integration with IBM WebSphere Service Registry and Repository and IBM Tivoli® Composite Application Manager for SOA.
  • Provides B2B protocol policy enforcement, access control and message filtering.

XML acceleration and extended memory support

IBM® WebSphere® DataPower® SOA Appliances V6.0 adds new processing capabilities for mobile, web, and application programming interface (API) traffic and introduces pattern-based configuration support

Front-end proxy for IBM WebSphere Application Server

  • Embedded On Demand Router (ODR) capability within DataPower appliances simplifies deployment topologies.
  • Operational agility that enables intelligent load balancing decisions to backend WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment environments.

Response caching and integration with DataPower XC10 and integration with DataPower and IMS

  • Provides configuration driven local caching on the appliance for HTTP response messages from backend provider systems.
  • Offers built-in, seamless integration with elastic, distributed caching XC10 appliances to cache HTTP response data.
  • Delivers fast, consistent response times and reduces load on back-end systems for web services, and mobile and web application traffic.

Enhanced value for System z

  • IMS Callout feature allows IMS transactions to easily consume external web services via DataPower , with minimal application updates required.
  • IMS DB feature easily exposes IMS data as a service to remote applications.
