Enabling very high availability with load balancing and workload rerouting
IBM® Multi-Site Workload Lifeline enables intelligent load balancing of TCP/IP workloads across two sites at unlimited distances for near continuous availability. It also helps to facilitate planned outages by rerouting workloads from one site to another without disruption to users.
Multi-Site Workload Lifeline provides a reliable workload balance solution resulting in:
- Increased performance— response time is reduced by aligning new workload connections with the most capable applications and systems.
- Increased availability—new workload connections can still be routed to available applications in the event of application, system, or site outages; outages for maintenance updates or other planned events can be minimized.
- Increased scalability— application instances can be added on demand.
- Improved recovery time—recovery time can be reduced from hours to minutes.
- Workload migration—workloads can be routed from one site to another with minimal disruption.
