IBM® Lotus® Notes® 8 software combines with IBM Lotus® Domino® software to help improve efficiency through intelligent e-mail, calendaring and contact management-all within a modern, easy-to-use client interface. IBM Lotus Notes 8 software allows you to access all your critical information from a single interface, in the context of the work you're doing.
And now, Lotus Notes 8 software includes an integrated version of Lotus Symphony!
You can now create, edit, and share documents, spreadsheets, and presentations without ever leaving the familiar Lotus Notes user interface. By providing support for OpenDocument Format (ODF), you can import and edit Microsoft® Office documents and export those documents to ODF for sharing with ODF-compliant applications and solutions. And that prevents you from becoming locked-in to any one vendor's proprietary technology.
You can easily access Lotus Symphony applications from within the Lotus Notes 8 tabbed user interface. You can also click and send documents via email from within the individual Lotus Symphony applications and export content to Adobe® PDF format for easy sharing.
