IBM Lotus Symphony Installation Guide
The IBM® Lotus® Symphony™ installer
enables you to quickly and easily install the productivity tools: IBM Lotus
Symphony Documents, IBM Lotus Symphony Spreadsheets, and IBM Lotus Symphony
Presentations. After you install the productivity tools, there is online user
help available for each tool. View the complete installation guide for additional information.
The installation instructions are below.
Installing IBM Lotus Symphony RPM packages on
Linux SLED 11 and RHEL5

Log in as the root user.

Locate the *.rpm file that you downloaded.

Make sure that the additional package standard C++ library libcstdc++.so.6 is
installed.

Double-click the symphony-3.0.i586.rpm file to start the installation, and
follow the instructions on the screen.

Installing IBM Lotus Symphony DEB packages on
Ubuntu 8.04

Log in to the Ubuntu system.

Locate the *.deb file that you downloaded.

Make sure that the additional package standard C++ library libcstdc++.so.6 is
installed. This package is installed by default.

Double-click the symphony_3.0-1hardy1_i386.deb file to start the installation,
and follow the instructions on the screen.

Installing IBM Lotus Symphony on Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7

Locate the *.exe file (such as IBM_Lotus_Symphony_w32.exe) that you downloaded.

Double-click the file to start the installation process.

Follow the instructions to complete the installation. Click Finish
when the installation process is complete.

Installing IBM Lotus Symphony on Mac OS X 10.6

Double-click the dmg file to mount it.

Click the IBM_Lotus_Symphony.mpkg file to start the installation.

Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation. Click Finish
when the installation process is complete.

The installation location is: /Applications/Symphony.app.
