I would do almost anything to escape from the Microsoft price tyranny. I'm always ready to try something new and different and so I immediately downloaded Symphony3 B2 to give it a try and I am pleasantly surprised by its ease of use and very short learning curve. I am not a techie nor am I a power user, just an ordinary guy who likes to process words the easy way. This programme is the best I have ever used for the ordinary user i.e. the majority of computer users. I'm sure that there will be glitches and I'm sure that they will be fixed, for the meantime, I am well pleased with Lotus Symphony 3.

If Lotus Symphony 3.0 Sails In The "Cloud" (Cloud Computing Environment....) Then I Just Can't Wait For Our Company To Jump/Plunge Into It.... Head-First... To Take On The Competition.

    Very Cool!

    The Way To Go IBM/LOTUS!

Which version of OpenOffice will Lotus Symphony 3 (final) be based on? OpenOffice just release a 3.2.0 version which loads extremely fast compared to previous releases. This speed-improvement would be GREAT to have for Lotus Symphony as well.

I'm eagerly waiting for the final release, because I really want the program in brazilian portuguese. I can't afford to pay for Ms Office for Mac (and I really don't want to) and OpenOffice is just very, very ugly and unfriendly. Have high hopes on this one, and I ratify the comentary above: I hope that Lotus will be based on OpenOffice 3.2.

It would be really great if someone from the development team could tell us which OpenOffice core version Symphony 3 will be based on. Pleeeease.....

Just set up Symphony b2. Have used many other suites over last years on PCs and Mac. This is a sweetie and usable on my 10" Netbook.

Tried to install it on 20" iMac (on which I have Open Office, NeoOffice and the Apple app) but she just refused to accept (no error message) - I'm sad as it would be glorious to see and would be my default wp and spreadsheet app.. for sure!

Looking forward to an installable Mac version.

We need an Approach database for Symphony. I am beginning to think IBM has cut and run on this product. They never respond to questions, feature requests. I don't know, are there any IBM'ers left in the USA or have the jobs all been shipped to India?

For me, it is the very best suite. It's free, it's accessible, it's easy to use. Thanks for Symphony!

I like the format. It is easy and intuitive to use. Looks like I could even build a web page and upload it.

    Thanks
