I am not really a Clip-Art user, I dislike the default images which everyone uses already

But Maybe it is an idea to add some simple icons which refer to daily office actions like call, e-mail, mail, save, open, print, read, write, etc.

Those are the icons I need most when writing manuals. I think it is used more often then the map of china, although is some situations that can be useful as well ;-)

Important is thought that the icons / images made, are in a certain style and not every image has its own style.

    Very good!

I was starting to wonder about that.

The default clip art that's included with Symphony (and derived from openoffice) is very unpolished and unprofessionally looking.

The clips that you offer on your website are much better looking.

I don't know what else you plan for future releases, but I do hope that we'll be seeing much innovation coming from IBM rather than just repackaging openoffice

I'm with Stijn, simple, polished icon style clip art I might use. If it's cool enough! ;)

Also I just thought I'd point out you missed the word "of" - "regarding what types clip art". Do you need a proofreader? :)

I use a lot of clip art and photos, so it is important to me that the word processor I use be user friendly with graphics.

Agree comments - prefer to use more 'real-worl'd icons for text docs, presentations and spreadsheet use. Big plus not having to spend time searching for these elsewhere----test 1234556

School students would benefit greatly from a large variety of clip art. Today's students need office suite software they can use at home and MS Office, for many, is just out of their financial reach. Before becoming an instructor for my computer club, I did volunteer work overseeing a computer lab at our local library. Students came in to work on their school projects there because they didn't have MS Office available to them at home - and I noticed a lot of clip art being used for presentations, etc. These students are your future customers. Give them what they need.

Need to produce professional looking network diagrams ala Visio for non-profit museum that should avoid MS formats for archival purposes.

Not only do I use clip art, I draw a lot of vector graphics. This functionality was a lot better in Freelance Graphics than it is in Powerpoint.

For the next generation of drawings, I've been continuing to use OpenOffice Draw, and importing into Symphony. This is a workable interim direction that removes some of the constraints of creating locked-in drawings in Powerpoint, while providing a route for potential export to SVG. (I only experimented, but can get from OOo Draw to Inkscape. Moving from a subset to a superset is okay, but Inkscape to OOo Draw isn't so straightforward or pretty).

The clip art package for Lotus symphony is rather lame to say the least. Puff people? Very Generic and impersonal. For example: if I wished to clip art a dog, in other programs about 40 pictures of real dog like images would appear. You name, it's not on Symphony. So, do you have any suggestions as to where to go to find compatible clip art so I can make my presentations look real and not artificial?
