The IBM Toronto Software Development Lab opened in 1967 with only 55 employees. Today, we are Canada's largest software development facility and the third largest Lab in the IBM software family. The Toronto Lab's new building is a high-tech facility bordering the Rouge River Valley, and is surrounded on one side by lush forest, creating a relaxing park-like setting.
The Toronto Lab has worldwide missions within IBM for DB2 information management technology, WebSphere tools and electronic commerce, and Tivoli provisioning software. The Lab also holds corporate leadership in user-centered design, globalization and software research collaboration. In addition to product development, the Lab houses marketing and service teams in WebSphere, DB2 and Lotus.
