All of the Canadian software labs are key members of the IBM Software Group. Software Group has a worldwide community of development labs with over 23 000 employees that focus on all five software product families.
Starting in 1967, the IBM Canada Software Lab had only 55 employees. Today this has grown to over 3000 employees and an ever-expanding sphere of influence on IBM products. Today, all of the Canadian software labs are considered among the best labs to work in across the world. With a highly educated core and a comfortable working atmosphere, we employ a diverse group of fresh thinkers who bring both a level of technical expertise unique to IBM, as well as proven ideas to our software development. This blend of experienced professionals, academic learning, and young graduates creates a compelling atmosphere, where different viewpoints come together and form world-class products.
