About Toronto
Geographically, the Toronto Lab provides its residents with a delicate balance between "the big city" and nature. Open in 2001, the new building (situated in Markham, Ontario) is a high-tech facility bordering the Rouge River Valley, a nd is surrounded on one side by over 85 acres of lush forest (heavily populated by local wildlife like Canada geese, deer, and rabbits), creating a relaxing arboreal paradise.

The Greater Toronto Area (GTA) is located 10 minutes south of the Markham lab. With a veritable international mosaic of a downtown core, a booming business district with its own major stock exchange, gourmet restaurants, the third larg est theater district in the world, museums, night clubs, four major sports teams and cinemas, Toronto is where it's at for metropolitan living.
