“ The System x platform provides outstanding reliability for our SAP applications. ”
Michael Weper, CIO, nass magnet
Founded in 1925, nass magnet GmbH is one of the world’s leading producers of electromagnetic goods, selling its products to companies of all sizes that operate in many industries based all over the globe. The company achieves annual revenues of around EUR35 million (around USD47,4 million) and employs around a total of 550 people across its headquarters in Hanover, Germany, and branches in Hungary, the United States of America and China.
nass magnet realized that its existing IT infrastructure could not be efficiently scaled up to support the needs of its rapidly expanding business, threatening to put the brakes on corporate growth.
Working with IBM Business Partner c.a.r.u.s., the firm migrated its mission-critical SAP systems to high-performance IBM® System x® servers, plus ultra-fast IBM FlashSystem™ and IBM Storwize® storage.
The firm can easily scale up its solution as the business grows; a 10x boost for SAP performance accelerates reporting and increases business agility; fast storage cuts backup times by 98 percent.
