Founded in 2009 and headquartered at the Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne, Switzerland, nViso is a privately held start-up company developing technologies to decipher human emotions. Today, the company offers facial imaging solutions for use in many sectors – including its new EmotionAdvisor platform for financial services organizations.
People may think they make financial decisions rationally, but emotion plays a key role. nViso wanted to empower financial advisors with emotional insight to help their clients make smarter choices.
nViso used IBM Analytics to build a cloud solution that analyzes facial expressions and helps users understand what motivates them financially, even if they are not fully aware of their own emotions.
One bank used the solution to engage with 200,000 customers and significantly improve its brand reputation. nViso is now rapidly developing customized versions for other financial institutions too.
