“ We can replicate any database we have under our Connio platform in real time. That basically gives the freedom to our customer to do whatever they want to do with their data. ”
Emre Birol, Founder and CEO, Connio, Inc.
Founded in 2014 as a spin-off of Inbiza Technology Solutions, Connio provides a highly advanced network and device agnostic IoT platform to telecommunications companies, service providers and systems integrators. Based in Vancouver, Canada, the tech startup’s Connio platform has been used in multitude of real life projects to date, including the first smart city project in Turkey, developed by Türk Telekom.
Connio needed database flexibility and the schema flexibility to integrate different devices from different manufacturers together to generate, and produce, extensive reporting for its customers. Connio selected IBM Cloudant as the data layer for its new IoT platform and gained a highly flexible foundation to process a multitude of data models at speed, without the need for infrastructure investment.

By selecting a database-as-a-service solution for its IoT platform, Connio’s data layer fades into the background – freeing time to develop its services and help its clients launch new IoT apps faster.
