Created in April 2012, TP Vision is a joint venture that is 70 percent owned by Hong Kong-based TPV Technology and 30 percent owned by Royal Philips Electronics. Based in Amsterdam, the company employs almost 3,300 people in several locations around the world.

TP Vision sought a cost-effective way to manage its smart TV service that would also enable it to capture and use customer information to further develop new services.
