  VSE/ESA V2.6 status

While VSE/ESA V2.6 is no longer supported since 03/31/2006. We strongly recommend to upgrade to a suppurted level as soon as possible.

VSE/ESA V2.6 is the last VSE release that runs on 'pre-G5' servers including ES/9000 (ie. 9221, 9121, and 9021), IBM 9672-Rx1 (G1), IBM 9672 G2/G3/G4, Multiprise 2000, P390, R390, IBM S/390 Integrated Server, and equivalent.

VSE/ESA V2.6.3 contains the following improvements vs. VSE/ESA V2.6.2:

  • Integration of service
  • z990 related support
  • Replaces DB2 V7.2 with DB2 V7.3
  • Replaces TCP/IP for VSE/ESA V1.4 with V1.5

See the VSE/ESA V2.6.3 Program Directory for more information.
