Take an inventory of the applications, vendor products, and
tools you intend to run with Language Environment. Understand what
version and release of which compiler generated the program and
which run-time options were used and how they were specified. The Edge Portfolio Analyzer
can help you do this. The Edge Portfolio Analyzer is a migration
tool that analyzes existing application load libraries and provides
information including which release of a compiler, which compiler
and which linkage editor options were used to produce it. It also
generates JCL which you can use to re-link to the Language
Environment run-time library.
If you find that you are missing some of your source libraries,
Essential Systems
Technical Consulting can help you. They provide a service
to recover your source code from the load modules.
Check to see if the vendor products you are using support
Language Environment.
