GROWTH ... more products, more services, more customers, expanding Web business...
DATA... much more to access and use...
Today, growing industries need to run larger applications that require more storage.
IBM's Language Environment 64-bit virtual addressing support is designed to let applications grow, unbounded by current virtual storage constraints.
Language Environment supports 64-bit virtual addressing mode, called AMODE 64, for applications written in C, C++, assembler and Java.
These growing AMODE 64 applications can access storage up to 16 exabytes.
Existing or new AMODE 24 and AMODE 31 applications can continue to run without anticipated change and are not compatible with AMODE 64 applications.
However, AMODE 64 applications can run on the same physical zSeries system with existing AMODE 24 or AMODE 31 applications
Grow your applications with Language Environment 64-bit virtual addressing support.
