The Trainer's Friend, Inc.

The Trainer's Friend teaches companies how to use Language Environment. Their Language Environment Fundamentals class has been taught around the US and in Canada. The labs in this class are designed to be completed using in the language of the student's choice; COBOL, PL/I, C, or Assembler. All of their courses have been updated, where appropriate, to reflect the Language Environment-supported compilers and services.

Current classes :

• Using LE Services in z/OS (3 days) covers LE concepts and a detailed examination of using LE services from programs written in COBOL, C, PL/I, and Assembler.
• Secrets of Inter-Language Communication in z/OS (3.5 days) focuses in on how programs communicate between other programs written in the same or different languages.
• COBOL Debugging and Maintenance in the LE Environment (2 days) focuses on subroutine linkages, passing and receiving parameters, the linkage editor and program binder as well as debugging COBOL programs using LE dumps.
• COBOL Debugging and Maintenance in OS/390 (3 days) covers debugging from LE CEEDUMPs for those running LE COBOL.
• PL/I Debugging and Maintenance in the LE Environment (2 days) covers debugging systematically, using the appropriate features of the PL/I language to facilitate debugging.
