This HCM demo demonstrates some features of Hardware Configuration Manager (HCM). Differences between the demo version and full-featured version: This demonstration version of HCM is configured to be able to function as a read-only viewer of PC configurations without needing to communicate with an HCD host. Most display, navigation, and reporting functions are available in this demonstration.
You should verify that the C runtime services used by the HCM dispatcher (gethostname(), gethostbyname(), gethostbyaddress()) are running correctly. This can be done with a small
test program which uses these services and reports which service doesn't work (if any):
