With  APAR OA18415  (PTF UA33038), IBM Tivoli System Automation for z/OS (SA z/OS) integrates into the Tivoli Enterprise Portal (TEP). This new function provides a Tivoli Enterprise Monitoring Agent that runs on the 5698-A79 IBM Tivoli Monitoring Services on z/OS V6.1.0 infrastructure, the same infrastructure that the Tivoli OMEGAMON XE products are based on. 5698-A79 IBM Tivoli Monitoring Services on z/OS V6.1.0 provides common components for all monitoring agents to:

• Monitor your mainframe and distributed systems on a variety of platforms
   
• Provide workstation-based reports that you can use to track trends and understand and troubleshoot system problems

The SA z/OS monitoring agent is based on IBM Tivoli Monitoring V6.1, FixPack 3. It collects information about the status of automation on z/OS systems and z/OS sysplexes, and reports this information in the TEP graphical user interface.
