System z Application Assist Processors (zAAP) |
| |
Today IBM announced a lower cost alternative to general purpose zSeries processors. Customers can lower the cost of computing for z/OS Java-based applications by executing them transparently and without change on a zAAP. Running Java applications on a zAAP will depend on the SDK1.4 z/OS Java product in conjunction with IBM eServer zSeries 990 (z990) or zSeries 890 (z890) running z/OS 1.6. (April 7, 2004) |
