Discontinued collections
  • The IBM Online Library Productivity Edition: Messages and Codes Collection was updated for the last time in December 2002. Though this December 2002 edition (SK2T-2068-35) remains orderable, no further updates are planned.
  • The IBM Online Library Omnibus Edition: Hardware Collection was updated for the last time in June 2000. Though this June 2000 edition (SK2T-5843-25) remains orderable, no further updates are planned because many hardware products are providing their books via the Internet and other delivery methods.   • The IBM Online Library Framework Edition: Networking Systems Collection was updated for the last time in September 1999. Though this September 1999 edition (SK2T-6012-23) remains orderable, no further updates are planned. Many networking products ship their softcopy libraries with the product so the manuals can be used when the product arrives, and networking hardware products are shipping books along with code on CD-ROMs. In addition, many products now make their books available on the Internet. A guide for sources for future updates to softcopy libraries on this collection has been included in the booklet for this final edition. Please see the chapter "Where to find these Softcopy Libraries in the Future."

  • The IBM Online Library Omnibus Edition: MVS Collection was updated for the last time in June 1999. Though this June 1999 edition (SK2T-0710-26) remains orderable, no further updates are planned. Changes to the MVS Collection had decreased substantially because the MVS/ESA product is no longer being enhanced. The base control program (BCP) and other features of the MVS/ESA System Product continue to be updated, however, in OS/390 or z/OS. The updated BCP (MVS) books are available on the IBM Online Library Omnibus Edition: OS/390 Collection, SK2T-6700, which includes the OS/390 libraries and OS/390 software product libraries, or on the z/OS Version 1 Release x Collection, SK3T-4269 (beginning March 30, 2001).

  • As of January 15, 1999, the IBM Online Product Library SystemView for MVS Collection (SK2T-7206) is no longer being distributed. The discontinuance is in support of IBM's strategic direction to deliver product documentation with new information technologies. The last edition of the SystemView for MVS Online Product Library CD-ROM, SK2T-7206-03, became available March 1997.
