Processor reference information

  Summary
The Large Systems Performance Reference, SC28-1187, is the source for IBM's assessment of relative processor capacity. The LSPR provides performance data for a comprehensive set of workloads, each representing a different type of production environment. Reproduced here are the tables from this document.

The Processor Version Codes and SRM Constants list provides the version codes and SRM constants for all recent IBM S/390 processor models. The SRM constants are useful for making installation specifications which are transparent across the IBM S/390 processor range. See Chapter 3, Section 4 of OS/390 MVS Initialization and Tuning Guide, SC28-1751. (The SRM constants should not be used for relative processor capacity comparisons, as they lack the precision of the full LSPR measurements.)
