There are several options available as you explore your port to iSeries. Following are some helpful links.

Assessment, preparation and planning

• Porting questionnaire
  The questionnaire helps frame the discussion of porting considerations. Whether you port the application yourself, with help of a consultant or guidance from IBM these questions facilitate a review of porting-related topics.
• API analysis
  If the application is UNIX or Linux-based and is written in C or C++, this analysis provides a quick, high-level view of whether required APIs are supported within one of the System i5 deployment environments.

• Software suggestions
  Whether you purchase or lease a system (or even access a system remotely), here's a list of necessary and recommended software.
• IBM Innovation Centers
  Visit on of the IBM Innovation Centers for Business Partners, or access a system remotely. With assistance of IBM technical consultants you can prototype running your code on an IBM System i5.
