Cliff works in IBM Systems and Technology Group in Austin, Texas. He is a Linux on POWER and Advanced POWER Virtualization technical consultant with IBM System p™ ISV Solutions Enablement. Cliff has held various software development, design, architecture, planning and consulting positions in his 28-year career with IBM. He also has 92 patent filings, 29 U.S. patents issued, 13 published articles and is an IBM Master Inventor.
Richard Bassemir
Senior Software Engineer, IBM Solutions Enablement, Austin, Texas
Rich has worked for IBM for 29 years. He started with hardware design for mainframe processor logic and storage controller simulation. He has managed software-tool system testing and LAN-systems certification testing. Currently, he is working in ISV Business Strategy and Enablement. He has worked closely with IBM Lotus® to assure concurrency and availability of Lotus Domino® on the System p platform. This has included testing and performance analysis to assure that Lotus Domino in the IBM AIX 5L environment is a world-class solution. Rich is now working with solution providers to help them understand and exploit IBM virtualization technologies.
