Title: Porting C/C++ Applications to an iSeries server
Abstract: This online course examines the latest considerations for selecting a deployment environment when porting C and C++ code to an iSeries server: ILE, OS/400 PASE, or a hybrid environment. Considerations include source platform and requirements for system services. We will also evaluate editors, compilers, and debuggers. This course will also provide guidance on which applications development alternatives exist and how to choose among those alternatives.
Prerequisites:
This course is intended for, but not limited to, UNIX and Microsoft Windows programmers who have existing applications and wish to deploy them on an iSeries server. iSeries programmers who may have applications written in C/C++ or who want to integrate applications (e.g. RPG, COBOL) with C/C++ will also benefit.
